Collings Frets

I have a D2H built in 2000. I took it to Craig Landau today to get the frets dressed and to have him do a set up/deep cleaning. He examined it and said "These are the old Collings frets. They have plenty of height to work with."
I know I should have asked him to explain and will when I pick it up but in the meantime. What changes did Collings make in the frets and when?
