Waterloo aged finish

I took a good look at the photo examples of the new aged finish Waterloos. I’ve never been a fan of manufactured aged/antique finishes, but the concept seems here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future. The only examples I’ve seen (I’ve only seen photos) of this idea that I thought looked somewhat real is the level one distressing done by Pre-War Guitars.

IMO the Waterloos don’t look right to me. The patterns of checking look somewhat correct, but the “cracks” in the finish look too raised at the edges, and the rest of the guitar’s finish looks too clean, so that it doesn’t resemble a vintage instrument.
