Glad to see a forum dedicated Collings back on the 'net.

I was mainly a lurker on the old site, but did find it very useful.

Looking forward to this new site.

Steve from Sydney Australia here, member of the old forum since 2002, I think. I've had heaps of great guitars over the years including numerous Collings. I'm thinking I should have used Prodigal Son as a handle as I am now back to just the one guitar, a D2HT. Suffice to say I'm getting by just fine with my T.

I was/still am Kerry Krishna from Prince George Northern BC. I have a plain jane '07 D2H and a super fancypated 2010 D1HA sb Vn varnish. I host /run Facebook's 'Collings Enthisiasts' 'Collings Instruments BuySellTrade' 'Waterloo Guitar Enthusiasts' ' Calton Flight Case Enthusiasts' and 'Kay Kraft/Stromberg Voisinet Enthusiasts' sites.
For a while there, (before I sold a bunch of my duplicate guitars) I figure I had the largest collection of 1920s/1930s Kay Krafts on the planet. Now maybe someone else has that title. I had a part time string instrument repair shop for about 19 years. I have a terrific job working 3 graveyard shifts a week at a full care health facility.
I am so happy that Frank and Elambo got this site off the ground.

Hi, All

I'm Bill Motsko, and I'm an admitted acoustic guitar nerd. I've been a Registered Piano Technician for 40 years. I live in Columbia, MD and am 69 years of age. I'm a big fan of Collings guitars. My preference is for the Orchestra Model.

Joe here from Tennessee. Previously "f5joep" on the old forum. "f5" because I love the F-5 mandolin.

Thanks to the owners/mods/admins for a great site!

Hey! My name is Jon. I am 33. I was joafink2 on the old forum.

I have 2 Collings guitars at the moment. A 2013 D2HA and a 2015 I-35 LC. Both are EXCEPTIONAL guitars and I am super thankful to own both, as well as be back on a Collings forum. Great work to the people who got this up and running.

Hi. My name is Ray and my handle on the previous Collings Forum was RayD. I started lurking on the old website around 2007 or so, which led me to my first Collings custom order (D2 Custom Sitka/EIR) with Kim Sherman at Cotten Music in 2010. It’s a great guitar from a great shop. Fast forward to September 2017 and a visit to Mass Street Music. I played and compared numerous guitars with Jim Baggett and I came home with a Collings D2H MR A T. It’s a killer guitar from an awesome shop. I’m a huge traditional bluegrass fan and I’m a student of bluegrass flatpicking guitar.

Thank you for once again feeding my Collings online addiction!

OK, this is me.

I'm a very old Brit, living near the south coast.

I bought my first Collings in 1999 - a DS2h, which I still have (of course) just had it'refretted for the third time!

I had it for about six weeks and did a cheap local pub gig. I'll never know if I didn't place it on the stand properly or whether another pb gigger pulled the lead but as I walked to the bar I heard a crash and turned to see my brand new incredibly expensive guitar lying face down with ashattered (slotted) headstock. Oh how we laughed! (not).

I got it stuck back together again, it has some scars but it is still playing. Then some others came along.

I've made a few videos on Youtube - Silly Moustache - that's me.
