A TV Yellow 290 was my very first Collings and got me started down this wonderful rabbit hole.... I loved that guitar, but sold it to a friend at one point. Then bought it back. A few years later after wanting something new, I sold it again. Fast forward a few more years and I was without a P90 guitar. Andy and Eliot at TME kept telling me if you haven't tried a recent 290, you should try one again.
I took their word for it and this one does NOT disappoint! Not sure what they have done, but this one is special. Love the aged finish, neck binding and new stop tailpiece. Oh....and the ThroBak's have more attitude than the Lollar on my first one. (Not bad mouthing the Lollars. They were great too)
Really really dig this guitar and not gonna lit this one slip away~

That’s awesome right there. Beautiful. 290s are so much fun. Congrats!

I recently played a similar Sunburst 290 with Lollars through a Carr Sportsman. The neck pickup was the staple P90. It blew my mind, but not my pocket book quite yet.
