collings truss rod loose in guitar

Truss rod is loose and can be turned by using my fingers and doesnt allow adjustments
just took strings off and tried to adjust neck
is the guitar broken now?

need input had so many troubles with that guitar im really fucking tired of it

HiIt happened to me once on my first Collings. All it means is that the truss rod is holding no tension, so loads to apply as and when necessary.
IIRC - I took the strings off and replaced it and just screwed it back on , then applied a minimum amount of tension then left it.

21 years later (when I foolishly sold it) it was still fine.

I did loose tension too much and it came off
reversed it and put way higher action on it now and in fact plays much better than before
