Collings 002h 1998 build. changes since 1998?

Well, I have finally got my long awaited Collings 00 to go with my Ds2h (08) and my 0002h(03).
It doesn't seem to have been played much - maybe spent a long time as a wall hanger.
It's slowly coming back to life, but really needs playing in.

My question is that the rosewood back and sides do not appear to have been filled, so the finish is quite rough.
The neck profile is a somewhat more pronounced V shape than I have on my later guitars, so... does anybody know about any radical changes that they made after 1999?

I'd be most interested in any info .
