I recently found a dealer listing for a used 2022 City Limits with Ron Ellis LRP (Leroy Parnell) humbucker pickups. Ron is making some of the finest humbuckers (and others) on the market today. I bought an I-35 LC solely on the strength of those pickups, and I've never regretted it. I was sorely tempted to buy this CL, but I'm going to pass on it (if I buy another electric, it will be the 470 JL, which also has pickups by Ron Ellis) and hep anyone looking for incredible humbucker tones in an LP-style guitar with the Collings fit, finish, and exceptional playability to consider this. IMHO, not an unreasonable price, and compare it to the one or two new ones on the market. Few guitars have come out of Austin with these pickups (I've seen fewer than 10).
