ok, I'm totally out of place here, apologies.
But, it's a rainy day, truck's sitting in the mud outside, so been playing guitar and thinking about this topic...and went down a google rabbit hole regarding the Collings OM2h.
How about this?

* total disclaimer---> no affiliation nor knowledge of this guitar or the seller....just another one to look at.
Again, best wishes on your search.
And, I failed earlier to mention this one point; Collings consistently does something really special with OM's. When I told the crew about my OM1 at the last Collings Gathering over lunch, they just smiled---they know!
Thank you so much for looking! It looks like they used to have a 2009 German spruce top OM2H for $3850. I would have loved to get that one.
I am going to keep this site in mind and give them a call.
Thank you for your help and sharing resources!
I'm not very good at following my own advice regarding patience...
Not sure where you are geographically, but if you can find an OM2h locally to play that would be my best advice.
And, that is another bit of advice that I do not always follow...said by the guy that flew to California to buy a guitar and flew it back on the plane with me, and bought my first Collings sight unseen over the phone from a dealer in Nashville many years ago.

I totally understand. I am really eager to get my first collings too! HAHA. But I will now remember to be patient in the process!

The Music Emporium is a good store to buy from, based on numerous reports on the old Collings forum, plus my experience buying a Collings electric from them. They've sold Collings and other excellent guitars for a long time. Well worth calling them and asking any questions about the guitar's history, etc. I don't know how negotiable their used prices are (new Collings prices are not), but you can always ask!
Good luck on your quest!

Thank you again! I will share on the forum once I get my Collings! (though I don't know when it'll be.)
Looks like the one you posted has sold quick! haha.

apparently it did sell quick...it was available when I posted.
You will find what you want...OM2h's are not rare, just find the right one at the right time. Will probably lead to getting more than one.

The way I found it online was based off the Collings Dealers page on their website. Most dealers list their inventory and update regularly.

Hope this helps and happy hunting!

I just labored over whether or not to trade a '90s Collings (and cash) for a new vanilla sitka/EIR OM2H. I've owned four collings over the last decade. The new may actually be the best of them all, and I didn't think Collings could get any better.

Ah! Really! Well, I'm so happy to hear you are happy with your new Collings!

How would you say it compares?

There are lots of reasons to buy an older, well-played in Collings. Old, played-in wood is a great thing - even greater on a Collings.
However, as someone who drank the Collings kool-aid several years ago, I will say....to my ear, Collings is currently building the very best guitars that I have heard. For that reason, I would keep an eye out for new, and play the tar out of it.
Good luck!
