41 vs. 42 Style Top Border

I'll soon meet with my local Collings dealer to hopefully get a DS3 build going. I am considering adding abalone to the top border. Would any of you more knowledgable people be able to explain or show to me the difference between the 41-style and 42-style top border? The Collings website only has an example of the 42-style in the "trim options" category.
Also, if any of you are aware of any consequences this will have on the tone, please pass those along as well.
I'd be appreciative of any input. Thanks!

Very cool! I think the only difference is that 41 style lacks the abalone around the fretboard extension.

What are the other specs on the DS3? Woods?

Thanks for the response! I think you're right. I'll double the check with the dealer when I meet with them but wanted to go in with some idea of what was going on.
My plan right now is to go for EIR B/S, mahogany neck, and torrefied sitka top. I like the look of inlays so I'm leaning towards that. Also might splurge for a rose or flowerpot headstock inlay.

although the 41 is pretty, if one has to have an abalam-bordered top, then i think the 42 ties together better. here is 12-string 41 i used to have (not for long:)).

Great looking guitars! Just the right amount of bling.
