All I can say is wow. The Vintage Now neck is perfect for me. It allows for wide string spacing for fingerstyle guitar and is not chunky as I have heard some describe it. As a matter of fact it is very comfortable. My main fingerstyle guitar is a Martin M-30 and that neck is much chunkier than Collings Vintage now neck. It sings so sweet. Very balanced between the treble, bass and midrange. I couldn't be more excited!!

Thanks so much! I am now a big proponent of the Vintage Now neck. I am primarily a fingerstyle player. My main guitar that I use to finger pick has the same string spacing but a much chunkier neck (a Martin M-30). The neck depth on the Vintage Now seems to be thinner and makes it easier to play if you don't have huge hands. That in combination with short scale is the way to go. Although I do notice tonal differences between the short scale and my Martin M-30. I do think it has less volume and power. Just a subtle difference, but it is there.

And I am with you about the binding. They did an absolute killer job. I especially love the koa on the heel cap.
