“Collings Forum” is great.
“New Collings Forum” is okay too.
“New Collings Guitar Forum” would work but is maybe one word too long.
Welcome back everyone''!

Re: NAME THE FORUM!
Nice to have you back online, how about "Collings Guitar Related Forum"
Re: NAME THE FORUM!
Great suggestions keep coming in -- thanks everyone!
Just to mention where my thoughts are at the moment: reference to the name Collings is a must, and the word "Forum" seems logical as well. I do feel a tinge of discomfort with the word "New" primarily because it suggests that we're replacing the Collings Forum, or that it has been retired (which may not be the case), whereas this site is actually a different entity.
I like seeing Bill's name in the title, but it might confuse people into thinking that the site is dedicated to Bill, the man, and not his companies.
I think about how people might refer to it and keep hearing "hey, are you a member of the Collings Forum?" We'll also want it to show up easily with Google searches, so the title will need to be somewhat simple and descriptive.
So, maybe something close to the very basic: The Collings Forum? The company is beginning to advance beyond guitars (with cases, etc., and I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually venture into other territories, too), so the word "Guitars" might be less necessary in future years.
A tie-in with the city, Austin, would be interesting, but that gets us pretty far away from being descriptive to new people. Bill used the highways in and around Austin to name many of his products, so in keeping with his theme maybe we work in their address? "290" isn't any better than "Austin" in that regard, but it's something to consider.
In the end it won't matter too much, but it's fun to consider. We may just put it to a vote once the thread has had the chance to ponder a bit more.
Thanks again, everyone, and please keep the great ideas rolling in.
