I just traded into Walker Wise River #38 from 2007. What a nice guitar! Deep, rich tone, punchy mid range, but still articulate. Great fit and finish.

Congrats on the John Walker! Looks great and I can hear it now!

Here's #126 I had. Wonderful guitar.

That's a beauty, Dave. If it sounds as good as this one, it must have been tough to let it go.

I was really questioning my decision to sell pretty hard when I was boxing it up.
So it goes.

I had a '48 J-50 a few years back. Probably should have held onto that one. Today I have this recent build from Judge Wolfe. Great guitar and great builder. Woods from John Arnold and the Hamptons, along with a 'graveyard black locust" bridge plate. Very happy to have this one. :-)

J-35 on the left (mine), and an AJ built at the same time.

Well, it's not like they're exactly plentiful. Judge is a talented builder and repairman, but like other talented builders I can think of he does have a day job. In addition to his acoustic builds, he does a significant amount of repair work on vintage and new guitars, and builds electrics. He even winds his own pickups and has built a B-Bender Telecaster from scratch, including the bender mechanism. Here are a couple of links to showcase some of his other work. (no financial interest, just a happy customer) Right now though I'm focused on the J-35. I have a friend with a great '37 J-35. Post-COVID I look forward to comparing it side by side with an original.

My 14 fret slope family grew by one last week. The Fairbanks F-35 has been delivered.
l-r .. 2014 Collings CJ-35G, 1944 Gibson J-45, 2020 Fairbanks F-35 (the top is dated 6/2020, but delivered 1/2021, so I'll go with 2020)
