Woods from John Arnold and the Hamptons, along with a 'graveyard black locust" bridge plate. Very happy to have this one. :-)

J-35 on the left (mine), and an AJ built at the same time.

Perhaps the perfect instrument for guitar-picking Yankees fans!!

Have had four Collings CJs: a wonderful CJMhGSB, now owned by a close friend, a CJMhSBss, CJ-35GSB, and presently a CJMhASBss varnish, which I hope to keep!

Nice!
I'm being shipped an Iris DF Adi tomorrow. It'll be interesting how it compares to the others.

Uodated 14fret slope family picture. Iris DF has arrived. Adirondack top, 1 3/4" nut. Too soon to give an honest review, but I immediately put some Martin MM12 strings on it and it sounds great. A little truss rod adjustment and it's ready.
Pictured l-r... 2014 Collings CJ35G, 2020 Fairbanks F35, 1944 Gibson J45, 2022 Iris DF.

I should have mentioned earlier, besides the four very fine Collings CJs I've had, I've had a whirl with two slopes, a Kopp, and a Walker, neither of which in my experience could compete with Bill's product.

The only slope shoulder dread I have currently is the Taylor 717e Builder's Edition. Best Taylor I've ever owned or played - by far.

Have been itching for a CJ Mh SS SB, but ended up with this SCGC VS. so far I’m still in love, but we are definitely on the honeymoon. The shadow below the bridge makes it look like a belly bridge, buts it’s a straight bridge; albeit no pyramid ;-(
I would have preferred a curvilinear fire stripe pg, but the small teardrop is growing on me.

I have two at this time. My CJ45 AT which is spectacular in every way. Additionally, I have a Washburn Revival Solo Dreadnaught RSD135-D 135th Anniversary. The Washburn has a very-interesting story behind Washburn's US Custom Shop 135th Anniversary build (to me anyway 😁). It is a surprisingly great guitar. It has a very unique tone and doesn't approximate a Martin, Gibson, Guild or anything else I've played. Both are featherweight, 4lb 3oz and 4lb 5oz respectively. Here's a link for anyone who might enjoy reading about a limited build of 135 guitars and how/why it happened.
