Waterloo WL-AT
Waterloo WL-AT
Yum. Maybe I'd finally learn to play some Western swing chords if one of these appeared in my lap. It's a really intriguing instrument.

That’s great to hear! Love that neck on my WL-14.
Re: Waterloo WL-AT
This is great news! I have the old Kalamazoo version hanging on the wall in my studio. It's such a fun guitar to play (and look at). I'm sure this one will be killer. It's also nice seeing the Waterloo continue to populate.

$4500!? You can buy a huge variety of vintage and even new quality archtops for that kinda green.
Re: Waterloo WL-AT
Granted that these are not 'inexpensive' but Collings & Waterloo didn't get their reputation primarily by being inexpensive. If you have the money, I doubt that you'd be disappointed. It's always difficult to compare 'value' with similar guitars but I'd be confident that the build quality and sound would not be something you regret. When I'm happy with a product, I tend to forget the original cost. When I'm unhappy with a product, however inexpensive, I remember the cost for a long time. I may be strange like that-- I'm pretty odd in any number of ways!

Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting.

That’s not too odd- I think it’s human nature to some degree.Tenzin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 11:30 amGranted that these are not 'inexpensive' but Collings & Waterloo didn't get their reputation primarily by being inexpensive.
