Wow..that looks great. BTW.....how/where did you score the Collings case? I'd love to have a Collings case for my Cj45AT. I honestly didn't think Collings made any cases for the CJ line...obviously I was wrong about that :). Enjoy your CJ45...it looks awesome.

Thanks and enjoy yours as well! I scored the handmade CJ case over a year ago in the hope that someday Collings would release a CJ T. It was empty and patiently waiting for a worthy guitar until this week.

Beautiful guitar. I still haven’t had the chance to play one, but look forward to the opportunity. And the case — nice!

Haven't posted for a long time but thought Id chime in here as I now have a CJ-45T, Sitka. I concur with everyone else, this is an outstanding guitar and quite a departure from anything else they've done in my opinion, although I haven't tried the JLOM. I also have a D2HT and the CJ45 is very different in a number of ways: weight, it's very light at under 4lbs; neck which is substantial but surprisingly comfortable for me. The best Collings neck I've ever come across. Tone, as others have said, very loud and a vintage thing going on for sure. I'm loving the tone, deep bass, pronounced midrange and sweet trebles. It just sings.
This guitar has a loose feel about it which to me is not typically Collings. Maybe it's just the short scale length but I think it's something more than that. The lightness of build perhaps?
I've only had it a couple of weeks so still the honeymoon stage I suppose, but I've had enough Collings and other guitars to know that this is one very, very special guitar.
One thing I will point out that may be of concern is the size, the body is a bit wider, longer and deeper than my D and I have noticed a bit of shoulder discomfort playing it. Hopefully just an adjustment phase.

Thanks for the report and check-in, I'm looking forward to trying a CJ45 one of these days. They sure seem to check all the boxes.
