Swapping mini-humbuckers for P-90’s

I just purchased a NOS Collings 360. It has Lollar mini-humbuckers that I want to swap out for Lollar P-90’s. I know the body rout is the same size for both styles of pickups though how do they actually mount to the into body ?

Does your current setup utilize a bracket? Some are tapped for both type pups. When Gibson first used minis in P-90 routs, I believe they modded the cover to be one piece with the cover. You can always (my preferred method) screw the P-90 directly into the wood. Be sure to include foam and/or springs for height adjustment. Have you first tried adjusting the existing MHB height to “dial in” a sound?
