it didn't come on my mando originally but i did purchase it directly from Collings a bit after i bought it. I know he does several patterns for them, mine is the A style tailpiece, as i know you know, the F is a bit fancier!

Eric, You can buy tailpieces blank. In my case, I bought an unfinished James tailpiece, which i sent to Weldon. I then discussed the design options with him, so you can get a truly custom design. I had these photos of engraved tailpieces, where Weldon, then filled in the areas w/ black as on this one: IMG_7410 by , on Flickr
