That is exciting! And I thought I was excited about my used C10-35 SS I just ordered from Artisan Guitars yesterday! Well, I guess I’m allowed to be exited, too! My gateway drug was a Waterloo WL-S and a WL-K. Oh my. My 3rd guitar this year!

3 in one year! Awesome. Gas is a dangerous affliction.

i had an OM-1 Mah SS VN a few years ago. i regret selling it (back to the original owner). it was a sweet guitar. i think the vintage-now / short-scale neck is a great combination. congrats!

Thanks Zeke! What was it that you liked about the Vintage Now, Short Scale combo? The waiting for this guitar is the hardest part!

i liked the reduced tension of the short scale, and the slightly wider neck of the vintage now. it was great for finger pickin'. i also think the slightly shorter scale helps with some of the finger stretches i do.
there used to be quite a few short-scale enthusiasts on the forum. they'll come back once they realize the forum is back up.

Your guitar sounds awesome. I think you made some nice choices in those specs. Can't wait to see the pic's!

I do hope that the custom order will be exactly as you hope, actually with Collings , we all know it will be.
One thing that tickles me - we are discussing a short scale OM - which in my logic is simply an 000 14 fret.
Is just me?

NO! I guess the estimated finish date of 12/21/18 was just an estimate. It is still in the finish curing stage, then onto polishing. As the late great Tom Petty sang, "waiting is the hardest part!"
Merry Christmas.
