Potential fraudulent seller

I have removed a couple of for sale items on the site. The email of the person posting is suspected fraud.

If anybody sent money for those items, I would get in contact with your payment method and stop the payment.

I do believe this is accurate information but please verify on your own. I do not want to get in the middle of any transactions.

To handle fraudsters in a guitar forum, stay alert and learn about common scams like fake guitars, misleading listings, and tricky payment methods. Always check the reputation of buyers or sellers, avoid deals that seem suspicious or request unusual payments, and use secure methods like PayPal or credit cards that offer protection. For in-person sales, meet in safe public places where you can inspect the guitar before paying, and for online deals, ask for detailed photos or videos to confirm the item’s condition.

Also, report any suspicious activity to forum moderators and keep records of your transactions and conversations to support any claims if needed. Encourage the community to share experiences and warn others about scams. If you become a victim, report the fraud to local authorities and your payment provider quickly to increase the chances of recovering your loss and stopping the scammer. Being cautious and informed helps protect yourself and others in the forum.
