Seeking advice from forum members based in the states.
A very good friend of mine based in LA has a mahogany 00 he inherited, unfortunately he say's the front of the guitar has had the finish melted by something obnoxious being spilled on it.
He is looking to have the body re-finished, has tried Collings but they declined, so does anyone know of an excellent re-finisher of top end acoustic guitars.
I know of a few great places here in Europe & the UK but he would rather avoid shipping across the pond.
Thanks for all your help lads.

I’m not sure where you are, but I was looking to have a guitar refinished I asked people at The Music Emporium who they use. I decided to sell the guitar instead, but The Music Emporium uses and recommended — http://retrograde-guitars.com/

Driver8 I'd call David Eichelbaum in S Cal. He's well known for exceptional repair work on vintage Martins (has done
work for a friend of mine)....& he's also a builder.... i'd be willing to bet you'd get well-done job . http://www.eichelbaumguitars.com/
