I wish these comments would remain constructive. I'm not the first to remove a label from a guitar and I'm surely not going to be the last. My objective was to share my experience, not be subjected to ridicule and bullying. Those adding constructive statements...thank you; those being dicks...congrats on that. The label doesn't make the guitar and I have no regrets about having removed the one from my instrument. It's pretty lame that this forum is allowing for this kind of worthless conjecture.

And to note: I did not ask for input from others who didn't share some experience on the topic as presented. My goal, due to my finding no information on the topic, was to create a space where the experience could be logged for future inquiry by others seeking to undertake the removal of the label.

Lots of discussion on the UMGF on label removal.

Seems there is (was) quite a few popular guitars that have labels.

Gibson has labels, Martin has labels, Boutique shops have labels.

Personally, i keep all my guitars stock. Stock tuners, pickguards, labels and so on.

Those that poo poo stuff, well, ........................

Sound and tone a label does not make, is my perspective.

You want to take the time and effort to remove a label? Knock yourself out.

But poo poo'ing a label?
