This Collings OM1A T Traditional is return to just that, traditional building techniques and materials combined with Bill Collings' exquisite attention to detail. This new series is highlighted by traditional style bracing and tone woods which are adjusted, weighed and voiced to produce particularly warm, rounded highs while maintaining a full, rich low end. The extra thin Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, applied without a polyvinyl sealer, makes for a lively, expressive top that has the feel of an old vintage guitar. The Traditional Series tone is further enhanced by the use of Animal Protein glue, which can dry harder making every joint of this OM1 that much more resonant and powerful.

This Orchestra Model is Collings' take on the classic pre-war OM-18, and as such it has the best available Adirondack spruce on the top. The braces are Sitka (used on all Traditional models) and there is no tongue brace, allowing a little more movement in the upper bout. Mahogany means a stronger fundamental tone, somewhat dry and woody but with strong, singing trebles. The T-series guitars seem to possess some lovely additional overtones in the higher registers, almost akin to a subtle reverb, and it's a beautiful sound.

New retail price for this model is $5,650.0 + $1,000.00 upgrade to the Adirondack (Red) Spruce top; so $6650.00 USD plus whatever taxes may apply...

Asking $4350.00 + $125. for basic ground shipping

Save yourself almost $3,000.00 for a 'gently used' & Amazing Collings Traditional OM1A T!

Although 'technically' this is a 'used' instrument; it is in *MINT* condition!

There are just a very few slight marks on the top which are so minute, I can't even photograph them. Completely negligible, but as always; Full disclosure...

Also has a strap button added at the proper 'Collings instructed' location & an L.R. Baggs "Anthem" pickup installed. One of "The Best" in the industry!

Comes with Collings TKL case also in MINT condition & original Collings 'Owners/ Warranty' card.

No trade interests, thanks.
