This guitar is in excellent overall condition with some minor finish impressions which are typical of a varnish guitar, and a small nick on the side of the headstock the size of a pinhead which I was unable to capture in a photograph. The finish on these guitars is ultra thin and takes a few years to fully cure and harden, and during this time, the finish is very susceptible to imperfections. But, it also allows the guitar to resonate like nothing else. This guitar responds to the lightest touch, even strung with medium gauge strings, yet has plenty of headroom for a heavier attack. I feel that the German spruce top on this guitar brings the best qualities of Sitka and Adirondack and finds a really nice middle ground.
Setup on this guitar is excellent - minimal relief, tall saddle, action right around 6/64" and 4/64" at the 12th fret. Build quality, fit and finish are typical Collings. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
