I would just like to say how much I love my 290. Of course, it looks very cool, but I really love the feel of it. Marvelous! (Pic to follow)...

I love the 290 too. Don’t currently own one, but plan to someday.

Loving it. I am not one to be able to tell you the differences between pickups. I am just a rhythm kind of guy, with no shredding. The gold foils suit me just fine, but so would almost any pickups, best I can tell.

Beautiful guitar and not a 'typical' 290 - great to hear you love it. That's certainly a classic guitar to emulate from Gibson, add Collings attention to detail, materials and support and now you've got something.

Beautiful 290. I bought a 290 Natural last September except with Throbak P90s. Great guitar.
